The
following files are freely downloadable. Check the Links page for other downloads
available off-site. Downloads marked '.sit' are Stuffit archives
and require Stuffit Deluxe or the freeware Stuffit Expander utility
for Macintosh or Windows to be unstuffed. You may download the
latest free Expander utility here.
- Macros.sit (40k)
A compilation of MiniCad and Vectorworks macros developed by third
parties. Once unStuffed, the macros (each of which is a small text
file) may be placed anywhere; macros may be activated from the
resources palette.
Some of these are old and may not run properly; theDrafthorse,
François Lévy and the authors assume no
responsibility whatsoever for any damage to files or loss of data
caused by use of these macros. Use these entirely at your own risk.
Every effort has been made to include only macros intended by their
authors to be freely distributed. Please contact François
Lévy should some of your work be here and you wish it
removed. Copyrights remain with the macros' respective authors, and
users must respect the respective authors' copyright as a condition of
downloading the compilation.
- PowerBook85.sit (36k)
I developed the ancestor to this Workspace for Vectorworks 8 when I was
working a PowerBook 5300 with a small screen, so it's designed to be
compact. These days I have the luxury of a much bigger screen, but I
still like this workspace for its compactness and more keyboard
shortcuts. After unStuffing it, place the file in your Workspaces
folder, launch Vectorworks, and select the new Workspace from the File
menu. You can also download (60k) a JPEG of the
shortcuts mapped to the keyboard.
- PowerBook9.sit (61k)
This is the successor to the above Workspace, and is designed for use
with Vectorworks ARCHITECT with LANDMARK 9 (which I currently use).
Most or all of the keyboard commands are the same, so you should be
able to use the above-linked keyboard map. This has not yet been
updated for version 9.5 (and it might not need to be).
- PowerBookX.sit (61k)
The latest version of my personal Workspace, this one is for
Vectorworks ARCHITECT with RenderWorks. Many of the keyboard shortcuts
are the same, but I've updated the keyboard
JPEG
(108k), which can also be viewed here.
- Translation.pdf
(124k)
A short treatise covering the ins and outs of importing and exporting
Vectorworks files to and from DXF and DWG formats.
- Default.sit (172k)
A
Vectorworks 8.5 Default file to be used as a basis for developing your
own. To make a file the default when launching Vectorworks, name it
'Vectorworks Default', open it, save it as Stationery, and place it in
the Templates folder of the application folder.
- Classes.pdf (52k)
A table
listing the classes and their attributes associated with the above
default file. You may also download an editable AppleWorks version of the file (16k
in Stuffit format).
- cesself.pdf (124k)
The AIA form
to fill out for self-reported continuing education credits.
